I've had a passion for teaching others for as long as I've been at school, often being the first to help struggling peers when needed. This ethos has continued into my adult life and into university. I'm an adaptive and flexible tutor who can work with different learning styles to allow students to achieve their best possible grades. Having achieved all 9s and A*s in my exams, I have built a portfolio of different techniques and strategies to best conquer exams. I've applied these throughout my 2 years of tutoring, working alongside my tutees to get the most out of every session! I also offer UCAT prep and mock interviews for those looking to get into the wonderful world of medical school. It is undeniable getting into medical school is difficult, but certainly not impossible! I received 3/4 offers with a 3170 Band 2 UCAT and want to share all the tips and tricks that got me there with you.

Toby helped me massively with my chemistry A level. He created detailed sessions to help me understand what I couldn’t get from lessons and mixed in exam questions to help with the application of the content to the exam. He also had a good understanding of when I needed help or if I needed to figure it out for myself, giving me more motivation to feel I could revise effectively away from school.
I’m currently in the process of resitting my A-levels, and Toby has been a huge help. He has a brilliant understanding of the entire course and makes even the hardest topics much easier to grasp. His teaching is really effective, and I’ve picked things up much faster with him than before.
He’s also great at using active recall, asking the right questions to reinforce understanding rather than just memorisation. I feel much more confident approaching exam questions and would highly recommend him!View more recommendations
