About Katie
During Sixth Form, I volunteered teaching Year 8 students in Maths during my free periods which I really enjoyed. I gained a lot of insight into how different students learn and how important it is to cater teaching to individuals in order for it to be enjoyable.
In addition, I have a 14 year old sister, who I have helped with primarily Maths and Chemistry as she is preparing for her GCSE exams.

I am currently studying Medicine at Imperial College London and will be starting my 2nd year in September. I completed my A-levels in 2019, achieving AAA in Maths, Chemistry and Biology. In addition, I have been through the application process of applying to Medicine and studying for the UKCAT and BMAT exams, so I can provide support for these.
Since I completed my exams fairly recently, I am familiar with the revision and exam techniques required to perform well, and also the importance of building confidence and having a positive mindset, especially in stressful times like exam season.
I will be able to cater lessons specific to the student's needs and their particular exam board specification. I will provide the resources required for a lesson, including explaining the topic, collectively working on questions and then progressing onto exam-style questions.

Katie helped me with my A level chemistry revision and even though I wasn’t the most confident in that subject, she was patient, understanding and able to explain complex ideas in a variety of different ways to help me understand. I can’t recommend Katie highly enough.
