About Shahana
Hi! I'm a medical student at Western University with a nursing background and a passion for teaching. Over the years, I've worked with students of all ages through tutoring, mentoring, and teaching piano, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I know that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual needs. Whether you're preparing for the MCAT, tackling a challenging university science course, or looking for support in high school or middle school subjects, I'm here to provide clear explanations, encouragement, and practical study strategies.
My goal is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and leave each session with a stronger understanding of the material.

I believe the best learning happens when students understand concepts rather than memorize them. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals and learning style, with a focus on building confidence through active learning, practice questions, and clear explanations.
A typical session begins by identifying areas of difficulty, followed by targeted instruction and guided practice. For MCAT students, I also provide study planning and test-taking strategies.
As a medical student with a nursing background, I bring both academic and clinical experience to my teaching. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing lasting study skills.
I tutor MCAT students, university students (biology, anatomy, physiology, introductory chemistry), as well as high school and middle school students in science, math, and English.
