About Sidney Steffan
Hi! I’m a Biology graduate and current medical student with a strong interest in science, healthcare, and education. My academic background has given me a solid foundation in Biology and the health sciences, while my experience in medical school has helped me develop a deeper understanding of subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, and other biomedical concepts.
As a tutor, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe that understanding a concept is more valuable than simply memorizing information, so I focus on explaining difficult topics in a simple, organized, and relatable way.
Whether you need help catching up on a difficult lesson, preparing for an upcoming exam, or simply want to strengthen your understanding of Biology, I’ll do my best to make each session productive and approachable. My goal is not only to help you get better grades, but also to help you become more confident in your ability to learn.

My approach as a tutor is to make complex topics easier to understand by breaking them down into clear, manageable concepts. Rather than relying purely on memorization, I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind what they are learning. I use simple explanations, real-life examples, diagrams, practice questions, and active recall to help students retain information and apply it to different situations.
My lessons are suitable for middle school and high school students studying General Science or Biology, as well as college students taking Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or introductory Health Sciences courses. I can also help students prepare for quizzes and examinations, review difficult topics, and build better study and memorization strategies.
