About Hamza
I want to be the tutor students feel completely comfortable asking questions to — even questions they think are “stupid”, obvious or unnecessary.
I know what it’s like to be that student. I would ask very high-level questions beyond the curriculum, but also questions that seemed surprisingly simple. People wondered how I could achieve such high grades while asking such “silly” questions. I saw it differently: asking those questions was one of the reasons I did so well.
I’ve never liked how some students can be made to feel belittled for asking questions. I believe curiosity should be encouraged and “I don’t understand” should always be a perfectly good thing to say.
Some teaching approaches focus on getting students over the pass mark. I believe everyone has the capability to achieve their best grades. With the right learning strategies, dedication and discipline, I want to help students understand their subjects and become confident in their ability to learn them.

I offer friendly, personalised online 1-to-1 tutoring for A-Level Biology, A-Level Chemistry and GCSE Combined Science.
I achieved A*s in A-Level Biology and Chemistry and 9-9 in GCSE Combined Science, and I’m now studying Medicine at the University of Aberdeen.
My lessons focus on understanding difficult topics, exam technique, active recall and building confidence. Rather than simply memorising information, I help students understand the concepts and apply them to exam questions.
Every lesson can be tailored to the student’s needs, whether they want help with a specific topic, are struggling to keep up with the course, or want to push towards the highest grades.
