About Luke
I am a friendly and motivated tutor with a background in chemistry and medical sciences. I am currently in my 4th year of Medicine at the University of Nottingham and I have a 1st Class degree in Chemistry. Additionally, I have worked in surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge.
I have varied tutoring experience, including entry into medicine, medical sciences, chemistry and many years of youth work! I am experienced in a range of GCSE and A-Level syllabuses. I am patient and skilled at finding ways to explain things effectively.
I am happy to teach online (usually using Zoom) or in person. I am based in Nottingham but willing to travel anywhere in the surrounding area including Derby. I am generally available on weekday evenings and weekends.

I offer chemistry tutoring for A-level and GCSE.
I listen carefully and tailor lessons to each student individually. I am patient and skilled at finding effective ways to explain things. I have a first class degree in chemistry and will be qualifying as a doctor next year. I have experience with a range of A-level and GCSE syllabuses.
I understand that Chemistry can be challenging, so my main aim is to understand my tutees and explain things clearly!
In addition, I also have experience tutoring for entry into medicine, including entry exams, personal statements, and interviews. I am very happy to help with these as well!
