About Pouya
I'm a 2nd year medical student at Western Sydney University who loves math and chemistry. I achieved a 97/100 for math extension 1, 95/100 for math extension 2 and a 95/100 for chemistry, receiving an ATAR of 99.45. My goal is to show students that with the right habits and mindset, they can make their future a reality. I will not only improve marks, but build student's confidence and make them future-ready.

I teach Year 11 and 12 Maths Extension 1 and Chemistry, and Year 12 Maths Extension 2, guiding students strategically through their HSC journey.
Each two-hour lesson I deliver is carefully planned in advance to ensure every minute is purposeful and productive.
We begin with revision: reviewing content from the previous lesson and addressing any homework questions. The core of the lesson focuses on new material: I explain the theory first, then work through example questions to model problem-solving techniques. Students then attempt questions independently, which we review together to refine their reasoning and exam presentation skills. Each lesson concludes with assigning homework to reinforce their learning.
I also have tutoring experience, having run my own private maths tutoring for stage 4 students when I was in year 11. I was responsible for planning and structuring lessons and tracking student progress.
Beyond the academic preparation, I incorporate study strategies and techniques throughout each lesson — helping students optimise time management, avoid common exam traps and develop high-level thinking skills.
I also take a mentorship-based approach. Whether a student is aiming for medicine, law, or still exploring their future pathway, I provide guidance on university pathways and the habits required to succeed.
