About Tallula
Hello, I am Tallula V Kontic-Thomsen. I am 19 years old and currently study medicine at Cambridge University. I am looking for GCSE students - or pre GCSE students - at any level who are looking for help in chemistry, physics, biology or maths - all of which I received A*s and As at both Alevel and GCSE. I studied at Kings Worcester at GCSE and then Hereford Sixth Form College for my Alevels.
Students can be looking to improve their results or further expand their knowledge.

The first free initial session is usually spent getting to know the student. Then I send over some quick questions over a broad range of topics so that I can identify areas of importance for each individual tutee.
The first half of any session is talking over the work from the previous and answering any questions/covering anything that it is clear the child hasn't fully grasped. The latter half is usually running through the next topic when ready then working through some relevant questions together.
At the end, I offer a second opportunity to ask questions and send them away with good wishes and a little bit of homework to check they have understood the session.

I have been friends with Tallula since we realised we had the same birthday back in 2012. Since then she has tutored me for my GCSE maths resit and helped me go from a fail to a B which was a HUGE deal for me and then tutored me through Alevel chemistry and my application to study medicine at Queens Belfast. I made my offer and have started this year and I have no doubt Tallula was part of the reason why!
She encouraged and helped me without being patronising and it is clear through her own achievements she knows what she is doing.
I would recommend Tallula for anyone as she is kind and caring but also honest enough to tell you when you're not trying hard enough or if you have made a mistake. (plus she has amazing notes) She is happy to teach through debate and discussion which I found to broaden my point of view but also better prepare me for my medicine interviews.
