About Zainab
Hi! I’m Zainab, a first-year student studying medicine at the University of Nottingham, with a passion for helping students feel more confident in their studies.
Having recently completed my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, I understand the challenges students face when preparing for exams and learning difficult topics.
I have experience tutoring 11+ students, GCSE students and Year 12 students, and I really enjoy making lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each student.
I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence.

My lessons are personalised to each student’s needs, focusing on building understanding, confidence and strong exam technique. I use clear explanations, worked examples, active recall, practice questions and regular quizzes to help students understand and retain content.
For GCSE and A-level students, I also use exam-style questions to identify gaps and develop effective exam technique. Lessons are typically 1 hour long, although this can be adapted depending on the student’s age and needs.
I have experience tutoring 11+ students, GCSE Biology and Chemistry students, and Year 12 students studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
I achieved strong GCSE results and A/A* grades at A-level, giving me a strong understanding of the subjects and current exam requirements. I offer lessons for 11+, KS3, GCSE and A-level students, with a particular focus on Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
