About Parth
I'm a software engineering student at Monash with a prior background in actuarial science, and a 94.35 ATAR with 40+ study scores in Methods, Specialist, Physics and Data Analytics.
I enjoy tutoring because I remember what it was like to have a teacher who had a genuine passion for their subject. I specifically remember my Specialist Math teacher, who helped me cultivate a real joy for the unit.
Before that, I'd always taken a fatigued approach to it; just trying to get by. But as he showed the beauty of the subject, he also showed how simple some of these concepts become once you adjust your point of view. That's the art I try to replicate now as a tutor: not just getting you through the material, but helping you see it clearly enough that it starts to make sense on its own.

I'm a software engineering student at Monash and before that I studied actuarial science, hence I use maths pretty much every day, and I know these subjects deeply and recently.
The way I teach is to work out where things stopped making sense for you and start from there. A lot of the time it's not that the maths is too hard, it's that one earlier thing didn't click, so everything after it feels shaky. Once that's sorted, the rest usually follows.
Lessons are an hour by default, but I'm happy to do longer around exam time or for bigger assignments. Everything's online, so it's easy to fit around your week.
I mostly help high school and primary school students with maths or science.
