About Katherine
I have four plus years experience teaching dance and horseback riding lessons to elementary through high school aged students. As the Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper, I led many group and one-on-one editing lessons. At undergrad, I majored in English (Creative Writing) and graduated with honors.

I am an MFA candidate (through Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where I was living last year) currently finishing my thesis in dance/choreography and working as the Office Manager at a nonprofit here in Austin called College Forward. I earned my BA in English and Dance at Macalester College, a small liberal arts school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am passionate about writing and reading and am offering lessons in essay writing (literary analysis and history papers), English grammar, reading comprehension, test prep and resume and cover letter writing. As a dancer, I am very active and engaging and always make sure to bring this to the lesson space! After a long day at school, I find it beneficial for my students to learn in a positive, alternative setting!
