About Michael
In addition to my academic background, I have spent time as a substitute teacher at both the elementary and high school levels. During my time at UNO, I received recognition and a scholarship award for my first feature-length script. While the focuses of both my degrees were in film/television studies, both degrees required extensive hours in standard English and Creative Writing courses. Between the two degrees, I also took additional coursework in professional/technical writing.

I have an extensive background in English and literature studies, with an additional focus in film analysis and writing. I received my BA in English (concentration in film and digital media studies) from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following that, I achieved my MFA in Creative Writing (concentration in screenwriting) from the University of New Orleans. Using this background, I can assist with general English/grammar lessons, literature and film analysis/critique, and creative or professional writing. I am also proofreading and feedback services for a variety of formats.
