About Mia
Teaching runs in my blood—I come from a family of educators, and I couldn’t help but follow in their footsteps. Growing up, I had teachers who believed in me, inspired confidence, and truly understood my learning journey, especially during my high school years. It changed my life completely. Their support shaped me, and I carry that same empathy, patience, and encouragement into my own teaching. My heart and passion lie in the English and Performing Arts, and I believe that every student deserves a teacher who sees their potential and helps them unlock it. Whether I’m guiding a writer to find their voice, coaching a performer toward their best work, or helping a musician build a strong foundation, I approach every lesson with professionalism, dedication, and a deep respect for each student’s individual journey. I take working with your student very seriously, and I will do everything in my power to help them succeed. It is an honor and a privilege to help students grow, gain confidence, and succeed in their craft. I look forward to working with you!

My Approach as a Tutor: Teaching Methods & Techniques - I take an inquiry-based, learner-centered approach, where students lead the discussion, and I act as a guide to help them discover and refine their skills. Every lesson is tailored to their level, goals, and learning style. I assess their needs, adapt my teaching methods accordingly, and encourage critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in their learning. A Typical Lesson Plan - Each lesson begins with a check-in to assess progress and challenges. From there, we dive into targeted exercises, discussions, and hands-on activities to strengthen their skills. I focus on engagement, practical application, and building strong foundations—whether we’re refining an essay, improving vocal technique, or exploring music theory. Lessons wrap up with clear takeaways and guidance for independent practice.
