About Valerie
My experience with Excel began with a desire to organize and analyze data efficiently, which inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Information Technology. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided learners from basic proficiency to advanced skill, emphasizing analytical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application. I prioritize clarity, patience, and hands-on instruction. Many learners initially struggle because Excel is taught as a collection of disconnected commands. I demonstrate the logic behind formulas and functions using practical examples and interactive exercises. Encouraging experimentation and independent thinking is central to my teaching philosophy, enabling learners to internalize concepts effectively. Outside teaching, I remain engaged with Excel through data analysis projects, professional work, and exploring automation and advanced functionalities.
