About Kyle
I'm a patient tutor excited to share my passion for mathematics with high school students! When teaching, I focus on the intuition behind mathematical concepts because I believe students should learn to understand math rather than memorize it. Truly understanding math brought me to where I am today, and I hope my students can do the same!
As an incoming MIT freshman and an SAT Math perfect scorer, I'm ready to show students the mathematical secrets that they don't learn in the classroom as well as the shortcuts to blaze through the SAT.
As a multiple-time Olympiad medalist, I have years of experience and impressive results in dozens of math contests including AMC, AIME, USAMO, ARML, and HMMT. I'm excited to share the creative tricks and techniques every competitor needs to succeed.

I help students with all topics of high school mathematics, including algebra, geometry, probability, precalculus, calculus, and SAT topics.
I also provide engaging lessons in preparation for challenging math competitions, including MATHCOUNTS, AMC 8/10/12, AIME, HMMT, PUMaC, ARML, and USA(J)MO.
A typical lesson starts with me assessing a student's skill level on a topic, then teaching them by actively working through questions with them. When solving a problem, I prompt students at every step to help them grow their existing comprehension of the subject. When a student understands enough to work through problems on their own, I provide more challenging exercises to make sure that they fully master the topic. Finally, I provide optional challenging problems for the student to work on so that we may review them at the next session.
