About ISMAIL

I'm an ex-MOE teacher. I taught Primary Math & Science (3 years), and secondary Math & Science Physics (15 years). I would like to teach Primary Math & Science and Secondary Math & Science Physics. To pass the PSLE or the O level exams, a student needs to be able to see the big picture when trying to solve a problem. Next to understand what we know and what is required to solve the problem. For Math problems, the student must learn to 'work backwards' to ensure the accuracy of the final solution to the problem.

About the lesson

Normally I would start from the basics and assess the student's grasp of a concept. Then we could move on from there and use everyday life examples to learn a certain concept. Understanding what is given and what we are finding is important. This would enable us to devise a strategy to understand and solve a certain problem.
