About Zaleena
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Toronto. I have a degree in Molecular Biology and Chemistry and I have been teaching others since 2016. I have taught group lesson as well as one-on-one lessons to help students to learn both course concepts and strong problem-solving techniques to ensure they succeed.

My teaching methods are focused on creating an interactive environment to help students understand core concepts and guide students in solving practice problems. A typical class will consist of reviewing previously learned material to create a base for learning additional and more complex concepts. By using both text and diagrams, I work with students to build on what they already learned so that have a comprehensive understanding of the new material. I then help students to create and answer their own questions, followed by supervising students while they complete prepared questions to solidify their understanding. I approach a subject with structure by creating a session plan ahead of time as well as with flexibility when teaching to ensure that all questions are answered. These lessons are meant for middle school students and high school students learning biology.
