About Irfan
Hey, I'm Irfan, a Civil Engineering student at Monash with a strong Math background and a passion for helping students actually understand the subject, not just get through it.
Most students who struggle with Math aren't lacking ability. They've just never had it explained in a way that clicks. I've been through the same system, so I know where the gaps usually are and how to fill them.
I've worked with students across different year levels and what I focus on is simple: clear explanations, structured lessons, and building real confidence. Parents can expect consistent communication and a tutor who genuinely tracks their child's progress.

My lessons run for 60 minutes and are structured but relaxed. I start by figuring out where the student is at, then work through concepts step by step before moving into exam-style practice. I care a lot about students understanding the "why" behind a method, not just memorizing steps that they'll forget under pressure.
As a Monash Civil Engineering student, I use Math every day, which means I can explain things in a practical, logical way that actually makes sense beyond the classroom.
I work with primary school students building their foundations, Year 7 to 10 students strengthening core skills, and VCE students including those doing Mathematical Methods.
I offer both in-person sessions across South East Melbourne and online lessons, whatever suits the student best.
