About Brandon
I have over three years of tutoring experience in Mathematics and Science, including private tutoring for IGCSE and A-Level students, as well as the past seven months focused on VCE students online in Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry. I deliver one-to-one lessons tailored to each student’s needs, emphasizing the identification of knowledge gaps, simplification of complex concepts, and improvement of both understanding and exam technique.
I understand the challenges students face because I was once in the same position. In high school, I struggled with subjects like Mathematics and Biology, but through trial and error, I developed study strategies that helped me improve dramatically, ultimately achieving an ATAR-equivalent of 90+.
This experience allows me to empathize with students who find subjects difficult.
I aim to make learning engaging, build confidence, and teach effective study habits so students not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of the subject.

My tutoring approach focuses on building understanding, confidence, and effective study habits. I start by identifying each student’s knowledge gaps and learning style, then modify lessons to explain complex concepts in a clear, step-by-step manner. I incorporate worked examples, practice questions, and exam-style problems to strengthen understanding and improve technique. I also share proven study strategies that help students retain information and perform better in assessments.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs, with time dedicated to both teaching new material and reviewing practice work. I have over three years of tutoring experience, including seven months teaching VCE students online, as well as private tutoring for IGCSE and A-Level students.
My lessons are suitable for students of all levels, from lower secondary to VCE, who are looking to improve grades, build confidence, and develop a genuine understanding of the subject.
