About Chathuri
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at Monash University in Civil engineering. I obtained my BSc(Hons) in engineering with a first-class academic standard in 2018. After I graduated, I worked as a structural design engineer for 1.5 years. Then I started my Ph.D. study at Monash last year in July. I have been working as a private tutor for more than 8 years as a part-time job because I always enjoy teaching. My expertise is mathematics, physics, and chemistry. My passion for teaching led me to start a Ph.D. with the intention of joining academia after completing it.

I always start with the basic theory. Because I firmly believe that students need to have a proper understanding of the theory before they move into problem-solving. Then I move to problem-solving starting with simple questions. Step by step I lead my students to complex problems. I always encourage innovative and creative answers rather than following the same methodology. I try my best to keep a very friendly relationship with the students so that I can guide them as a good mentor too.
