About Harshika
Hi! My name is Harshika and I am a medical student offering tutoring for Maths and Science for students in year 12 and below. I am highly passionate about tutoring students and helping them prepare for later years while maximising their results. Having tutored last year, I have learned that using numerous different techniques is essential to ensure proper understanding of concepts and to be able to ensure that every student is catered for.
A bit about me:
- ATAR: 99.95 (tertiary entrance score of 121.40)
- Dux of Elizabeth College (Hobart)
- Currently studying Medicine at Monash University (Year 2 in 2021)
- 1-year experience in tutoring (2020)
Subjects I completed in Year 11 and 12 and my results for each:
Year 11: Physical Sciences (EA), English Literature (EA), Maths Methods (EA), Biology (EA)
Year 12: Economics (EA), Chemistry (EA), Physics (EA), Maths Specialised (EA)

My teaching methodology involves:
- Breaking down complex concepts to facilitate your learning - often the use of diagrams and short bursts of information is essential for effective learning
- Provide feedback on your answers to help you improve your answering techniques - I think that being taught the content is as important as practicing questions as this allows students to refine their skills
- Help with exam preparation - I will be taking students through many past papers to allow them to be better prepared for their assessments

Harshika is an amazing tutor. She is incredibly intelligent and has the ability to explain really hard concepts in a way that students can understand really easily and quickly. She is very patient and explains things to me over and over again if I need. She breaks down topics into manageable sections and goes through everything at a pace that is suitable to each student's needs and learning ability.
