About Toby
I was once 358lbs, dangerously unhealthy, and facing a crossroads. My daughter had recently passed away after a long-term hospital stay; while I had neglected myself during that heartbreaking time, my weight struggle had actually spanned many years. I simply didn't want to put my family through any more suffering.
I went to my GP intending to ask for weight loss surgery. However, the required blood tests revealed a grim reality: I had developed Type 2 Diabetes, fatty liver disease, and high blood pressure. I felt a deep sense of shame. My mum and uncle had both passed away due to complications from diabetes, and I could see history repeating itself.
My doctor urged me to start lifelong medications, suggesting I could just 'pop the pills' and not worry. Intuitively, that felt like the beginning of the end. I refused the prescriptions — except for blood pressure medication which I no longer take or need — and decided to completely revamp my lifestyle instead.
The Results
Using a low-carb and intermittent fasting approach, I lost 163lbs in just 9 months. I have kept it off while still enjoying the 'odd treat.' Since the weight loss, I’ve even run a half marathon. I have never felt healthier or more confident.
Why I am Mentoring
For a long time, I resisted my friends' suggestions to share my knowledge because I am not 'qualified.' But I realised that while I’m not a doctor, I have achieved exactly what many people are currently striving for. I’ve lived the struggle, felt the shame, and found the way out. I’m here to offer you the experience-based guidance which I hope can help you achieve your goals

My Weight Loss Journey: From XXXXXL to Medium
In just 9 months, I lost 163lbs, dropping from 358lbs to 195lbs. To put that in perspective, I went from a XXXXXL shirt size (Yes 5XL!) to a Medium. Along the way, I reversed Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure, and fatty liver disease.
My Approach
I am Toby, and I provide experience-based guidance rather than a prescribed service. I am not a doctor, nutritionist, or trainer, and I hold no clinical certifications. I mentor from the perspective of “this is what I did” and “this is what I would do.”
My focus is on the mental and emotional side of weight loss and how what we eat can impact both of these states.

We’ll discuss my story and the overview of my methods. Most importantly, we’ll talk about you: your journey, your goals, and what you hope to gain. This session is designed for us to see if my experience is a good fit for your aspirations.
First Paid Session: The "Full Blueprint"
If we’re a match, this session covers everything I did to lose the weight - the pros, the cons, and what I would do differently now. My goal is to give you my entire roadmap so you can use it to reach your goals, with or without my ongoing support.
Ongoing Mentoring & Support
If you choose ongoing sessions, we can cover:
- Goal Setting & Accountability: Weekly reviews of successes and challenges.
- The Mental Game: Deep dives into emotional hurdles and psychological "tips and tricks."
- Data & Research: Discussions on information and research I found life-changing, plus how I use blood ketone monitoring to understand my own fat-burning markers.
- Practical Tools: My favourite recipes (I’m a decent cook!) and how I integrated movement and exercise after weight loss.
Details
Sessions are a maximum of 1 hour and are suitable for anyone over 18 looking for a real-world, low-carb and intermittent fasting blueprint. I always advise consulting your doctor before starting any new dietary or lifestyle protocol.
