As a mother and licensed teacher, I give lessons to pregnant women and new mothers in childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, early motherhood and baby wearing.

About Yolanda
I am a teacher of languages who also has worked with pregnant women and new mothers since 2007 in a volunteer capacity. I am also a trained doula and a trained breastfeeding supporter. I hold an MA in Applied Linguistics with my dissertation covering language and birth. I continually update my knowledge in these areas and I participate active discussions with other doulas and breastfeeding workers in person and online.

I prefer to adjust my teaching style by the needs of the woman. The style varies depending on how she needs to approach the topic. I am woman centred which to me means identifying her needs and addressing them in ways that suit her and her family.
