About Mark
Having had a successful career in the pharmaceutical, IT and energy industries I started teaching 3 years ago to great success.
Whereas some teachers were bewildered by the question "why are we learning this?" I can draw upon my decades of industrial experience to demonstrate what we learn in the classroom is applied in industry.
Students enjoy learning when they see the point and are excited when something they learn in the classroom can be applied to the world surrounding them. This leads to further questions and they start enjoying their first foray into the world of science and the potential career paths it can lead to.

Achievement through engagement. I use developments in science to make learning both fun and relevant and show how focus now can lead to a successful career in the future.
I use a variety of activities to embed ideas, reinforcing the school's lessons so as to maximise a student's potential. Learning is a journey and I use my business analyst skills developed in industry to breakdown topics into bitesize, interconnected lessons using the latest pedagogical techniques.
