About Tamsin
I am a Chemistry tutor with over four years of teaching experience and a BSc in Medicinal Chemistry. I specialise in helping students understand how molecular structures are determined in real laboratory settings. My teaching approach in Chemistry is structured, focused, and results-oriented. I begin by building strong theoretical foundations so students clearly understand core chemical concepts. I cover school and university Chemistry with special emphasis on AP Chemistry exam preparation. Complex problem-solving is broken into simple, logical steps.
I use targeted drills to strengthen accuracy and speed. Regular practice tests help students become familiar with exam patterns and time management. Experimental analysis is explained carefully, linking theory to lab-based thinking. This helps students understand why reactions happen, not just how.
I closely track progress and adjust lessons to target weak areas. Guidance is clear, supportive, and motivating throughout the learning process. Students learn how to think analytically and apply concepts under exam pressure. Confidence grows with consistent practice and feedback. My goal is to prepare students thoroughly so they can achieve high scores and perform calmly on exam day.
