Econometrics theory can be tedious and difficult to visualize in practise. Using real life examples and how corporations actual make use of econometrics I believe it's the easiest way to understand the theory behind.
You probably have used econometrics to explain financial and economic related theories or problems, you just haven't realised it yet.
