About Beatriu
I’m a sympathetic, patient and detailed individual who genuinely enjoys seeking out the best potential in people. As a newcomer from Spain, Chemistry was introduced to me during my GCSEs and A-Levels, to the point of getting As and Bs. I have subsequently graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science and an MSc in Analytical Toxicology. I have also got laboratory practical experience as an Analytical Chemist in Research for Academia and in Industry. Your tutoring experience will be all about your specific academic needs; from refresher topics, to introduction of new content, in order to be ahead of your game. I see the value in time. Hence, my style of teaching will aim to be interactive and straightforward. Although I might not have years of tutoring experience under my belt, I have got efficient mentoring skills that are consistently put into practice every week, as a volunteer young refugee/asylum seeker mentor. Me and Beatrice used to be in the same class room in high school and her passion towards chemistry was very strong as this was reflected upon her skills and knowledge of the subject, due to her experienced communication skills and teamworking skills she was able to help those who seek help in class and made sure that they understood the task in hand with minimal confusion
We used to go to the same class back in year 11. I remember this one time that I was struggling to understand the role of the hormones involved in the menstrual cycle (to include follicle-stimulating hormone and oestrogen).
