Achieving a grade 9 at GCSE and A*s in both A Level Maths and Further Maths gave me a strong understanding of what is in students’ exams and of the process of preparing for them. I am proactive in my approach to teaching, giving students the intuitions needed for problem solving to get students answering questions confidently and quickly. I explain difficult concepts in a way that students will understand and help them apply their understanding to exam questions. I will do this by introducing a new topic, then using this information to guide the student through the process of answering questions until they are able to answer them on their own with confidence. Lessons will be one hour long. At the beginning of each lesson, I will recap the previous lesson's material and check the student's understanding before moving onto another topic.
