About Sophia
I have a very positive, uplifting approach to teaching but will also work on improving vocal inefficiencies in a direct manner. With 13 years experience across a range of genres, through gigging, song-writing, studying, recording, competing, and undertaking exams, I have a wealth of knowledge easily accommodated to every student's needs.

Lessons follow a structure involving warming up, undertaking voice function exercises, performing a song, doing exercises relevant to improving whatever vocal inefficiencies are occurring and then implementing these into the song. While progress is achieved quickly in my lessons, the main priority is that the student has fun and continues to grow their passion. I also teach beginner piano, and can teach both piano and singing in combination. I specialize in jazz, pop, R&B, soul, music theatre, country, folk, as well as song-writing. Essentially your one stop shop for all your singing needs! :) Qualifications: -Bachelor of Music majoring in Jazz Voice - Queensland Conservatorium -Master's of Vocal Pedagogy - Queensland Conservatorium
