About Josef
Having studied music through school and university I have explored avenues of solo and ensemble performance alongside composition and analysis. I know first hand how music theory improves your understanding of all the music you play, write and consume. Equipping yourself with this understanding improves your ability to convey meaning in your performance and communicate musical ideas effectively with others.

I am a music graduate from the University of Manchester teaching twenty minute to hour long lessons for anyone interested in learning theory for their own interest and musical development or aiming to get music theory qualifications. I think that working towards qualifications can be an excellent way to structure your learning and measure your progress but it's important to me that students also learn the practical applications of their learning in their listening, performing and composition.
