About Akimasa
Instructor Profile: Akimasa Nihongi
Akimasa Nihongi was a member of an entertainment production company in Japan before moving to the United States at the age of 15. After auditioning, he joined the American rock band 'No Curfew' as lead guitarist. The band made their major debut on the Universal Polydor Records label. Since then, the band has undertaken extensive touring and promotional activities in Europe, mainly in the USA and Germany. After the band disbanded, he studied performance at Berklee College of Music, and since returning to Japan in 2004, he has been active as a live support, recording, songwriter and music teacher, including working with artists in Japan and abroad. He emigrated to Ireland in April 2024 and currently resides in Ireland.

Hello everyone. My name is Akimasa Nihongi and I have been teaching for over 10 years.
I have taught more than 500 students so far.
I offer semi-customised lessons tailored to the level of each student, so that you can enjoy your progress.
I am from Japan, so I can also give lessons in Japanese if you prefer.
My English level is a little above intermediate.
