About Elaine
QI have over 25 years of music teaching experience for performance, guitar, vocal and piano music lessons. I am originally from Oklahoma and grew up with a musical family in my school as well as my father and mother wrote songs most of my life. I later moved to New York and studied music at CW Post College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Baruch College.

I try my best to cultivate creativity and go after songs and music my students love to listen to. I teach how to ready music and how to understand music theory. I also teach the history of music for classical pianist and guitarist. I teach performance and love putting kids on stage that have potential. I also teach Songwriting and encourage students to write songs. One of my former students, Zohara (Rachel Salvit) performed in Coachella and is writing songs for famous people. Other students, Dante (Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist and Misia Vessio (Drummer/Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist) are performing on the East Coast with their band, Holy Vulture. I also taught them how to write songs and did performance with them. They have performed in the World's Greatest Family Band and Misia was in a show called Queens greatest drummers.
