About Michelle
I am a piano and vocal teacher and an accompanist with over 10 years’ experience. I have multiple qualifications including an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance by the Australian Music Education Board (AMEB); a Bachelor of Music, majoring in contemporary piano and song writing; and a Master of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne.
I am also a Registered Music Therapist who is empathetic and approachable with a passion for working with students and clients of all ages. I believe that through music, we can be empowered to share our individual stories and express ourselves in ways we might not be able to through words. Learning the piano is also a great way to learn to self-regulate, improve attention and focus as well as fine motor skills.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, I am passionate in teaching with a wide range of repertoire to offer. I prepare students for concerts, scholarship tests, Eisteddfods and other competitions. Or simply to play music for pleasure and fun!
I strive to provide lessons based on the strengths and interests of my students.
● AMEB syllabus, leisure syllabus, chord charts or play-by-ear
● All genres of music; specialise in Classical Piano and Pop Vocal
● Prepares students for exams, competitions and performances
● Music theory including music history, interpretation, analysis, sight-reading and aural
● All levels from beginners to advanced
● All ages from 3 years +
● 1 on 1 or group classes, depending on students' needs
