About Helen
Hello! My name is Helen and completed my Bachelor in Music, majoring in Pedagogy (studio teaching) at The University of New South Wales in 2021. I have experience in playing piano for 16 years and earned performance and theory awards from the AMEB and in my previous high school, Burwood Girls High School.
I have been teaching piano for 4 years in various studios. I have taught students from Preliminary to Grade 8 between the ages of 5-18 years old. Majority of my students who have done AMEB exams earn B+ to A+. Some of my students have also performed at schools or in small groups with family to uplift their confidence and technicality. During this lockdown, all students have made considerable progress throughout their online learning.
My current availabilities are on Saturday afternoons only at the moment.

I teach music theory where the student doesn't understand the question and we work through them together. Otherwise, I use a step-by-step method in helping students understand music theory, and revision to ensure their understanding of the basics are well revised.
