About Nicholas
I'm a musician and music educator living in Manchester. I took up the piano when I was 8 years old and now have many years experience as a gigging musician and composer.
I also have a keen interest in learning theory and a degree in education, so try and make my lessons reactive to individual learning styles and aspirations.
My personal interests in the instrument lies in modern jazz, and soundtrack composition, however, I am open to and love all styles of music.

My lessons are bespoke to students needs. I aim to deliver lessons based on your musical aspirations, rather than following a regimented classical method (although I can do that do if that's what you prefer).
Originally a student of classical piano, I later studied jazz at Leeds College of Music.
I teach all ages. I have experience of teaching music in school, with students as young as 6 years old. I also have many older students, including those returning to the instrument in their retirement years, or even picking up the instrument for the first time in their 60s. It's never too late to learn.
If you are interested in qualifications in the piano, I have experience of taking students through ABRSM and LCM graded exams, with a 100% pass rate so far.
