About Calvin
I'm a professional violinist and violin teacher. Due to the pandemic, in-person musical services have been restricted, so I'm expanding my reach to include tutoring in ESL. I have 2 summers of teaching
experience in ESL overseas to Chinese students as well as teaching Citizenship class to immigrants. I excelled in spelling in elementary school and vocabulary in middle and high school (memorizing word-for-word on the definitions), helping me to excel in my grades and exams throughout those years.

Learning English is not just about learning the words, but practicing listening and speaking in conversation.
Hopefully, you can get some helpful learning tricks from me! I have over 15 years of teaching experience in violin (private and group settings), so I have the confidence to interact with my students and developed methods to teach music students of various ages, levels, and abilities.
