About Fay
My name is Fay, I'm 29 years old and I live in East London. I have worked in schools both in the UK and abroad.
I have experience teaching one-to-one and as the class teacher. I also have a CELTA qualification in teaching English as a Second Language.
I have previously tutored English Literature and Language, from GCSE to A level.
I enjoy making my lessons fun and engaging, and creating a safe environment where students feel free to make mistakes and learn from them, thereby improving their skills and knowledge over time.

I am a very patient and kind tutor. I use my knowledge of English literature and my love for reading and writing, combined with my excellent grasp of English Grammar to help students improve in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
I teach lessons for up to an hour long, with a short 5 minute break to allow students to stay focussed. I like to use a variety of materials and task types, to make my lessons fun and engaging. For example, in a grammar lesson, once I have taught a certain grammar point I will then create a game for the student to practice that grammar point. The lesson will end with the student practicing a productive skill, such as speaking or writing. I tailor my lessons to the individual needs and interests of each student.
I have taught primary and secondary school students, as well adults, both in the UK and abroad. I have taught native speakers and non native speakers, and all levels (Elementary to Advanced) and from SATS to A levels.
