I am from Spain who moved to the US for my higher education (first undergraduate in Rochester, NY, now PhD in Austin). I am completely fluent in both English and Spanish, and have extensive experience as a tutor and TA for undergraduate Physics and Mathematics.

I can customize my teaching methods and contents to your level and goals. I think a very effective strategy is to hold conversations based on a given topic or initial text, and then stopping to correct and clarify different aspects. The formalism of grammar is very complex in Spanish and has to be taught directly, but even then I like to practice the concepts with examples and reinforcing exercises.

I learned condensed matter physics through a program with Jose. He was knowledgeable on the topic and offered good resources to use as a basis for what we discussed. In general Jose is pretty laid back so learning is stress free, and he's cognizant about where you're at in the material and makes sure you understand what's going on.
