Hi, my name is Melissa. I focus on working with students with special needs. I teach all elementary school subjects, as well as high school math and sciences.

About Melissa
I have a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree - and have been helping students for over 20 years. I have extensive experience working with students with ADHD and also students with autism and have found many strategies that really help. Most important is to know where help is needed and to teach the student the skills to be able to work independently in the future.

I can see where the students struggles most and focus on that. Getting to know the student’s strengths and challenges from the get go is so important. Understanding executive functioning and how it may affect the learning process is also key. I work well with neurodivergent students and have plenty of experience of students of all ages and abilities.
