About Emily
Hi! I'm Emily, an honors college sophomore at High Point University. I am majoring in Event Management and minoring in Hospitality and Spanish. When I was in high school, I was an all honors, AP, and IB course student. One of my AP's was Spanish where I received a 5/5 on the AP test. Growing up with immigrant parents, it has always been a passion of mine to help kids who need assistance with their ESOL courses and learning English. And on the flip side, I've also always loved to help people learn Spanish. As a person with ADHD, a traditional in-class setting was not always the best for me, so I understand how to use different learning methods to find what works best for each individual person.

I have 3 years of experience tutoring elementary schoolers in Spanish as a student volunteer. I was also a teacher assistant for an ESOL class in high school for 2 years. I usually worked with kids trying to get ahead in their classes and assisted a lot with translating, but I have also worked with kids who may have fallen behind a bit and was able to help many students get their grades up to an A. My goal is to figure out what each student's individual strengths and needs are and use that to create a plan to help them achieve their learning goals.
