About Coco
I was born in China but I grew up in Australia and I'm currently based in Manchester England. I'm able to use English to better explain the nuances of the Chinese language in daily use and in the workplace. I have a double bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance and a master's degree in Finance, all completed in Australia. I've worked in Australia for over 10 years and I've worked in Shanghai China for 2 years in the market research industry. I moved to Manchester a couple of years ago and working on my career change at the moment. I have a passion for language study and teaching. I speak fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanghainese (it is a major dialect in China), I'm connected with the Chinese culture old and new and I'm interested in lots of things so conversation topic never runs out with me.

I have been teaching one on one in Manchester for about a year now with 2 students at the moment. They have been able to improve their conversation level significantly.
My lesson typically runs for an hour, with the first 40 minutes on set course work which I will develop based on your skill level, and 20 minutes on a free conversation. My students quite like the conversation because it helps improve their vocabulary and expressions as we will talk about all sorts of topics. I will also leave homework for my students because I think practice makes perfect.
Besides teaching at a more advanced level, I also provide beginner-level classes on pronunciation, learning Pinyin, grammar, and so on. All ages and levels are welcomed.
