About Ellen
My name is Ellen, a native Chinese speaker holding a degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Harbin Normal University. I have over 20 years of full-time formal teaching experience in private schools, which builds solid professional literacy for my Chinese tutoring work. I graduated from Harbin Normal University, majoring in Chinese Language and Literature with years of professional teaching experience. As a native Mandarin speaker, I tailor lessons for learners of every age and level. My standard lesson plan includes phonics review, situational dialogue practice, vocabulary consolidation and cultural sharing in every class. Besides daily conversation and HSK exam training, I also share distinctive Chinese culture including calligraphy, home cooking and traditional Chinese medicine health preservation. I avoid rigid rote memorization and build relaxing interactive classes, helping you learn authentic Chinese while understanding practical TCM wellness knowledge.
We can have our classes on Zoom or WeChat. Both support screen sharing and digital whiteboards for easy Chinese teaching.
