About Maya
I am an artist from London, UK, currently settled in the area known as Vancouver, Canada.
I have worked with students in both formal and community based education. I was a primary school Teaching Assistant for 3 years, working with kids of varying abilities, including those with learning accessibility needs, neurodivergence, and kids that spoke English as another language (ESL.) I have also worked in secondary schools, and in community arts educational roles woth students from the age of 2-19. I also currently work as a photography technician at a university, and teach visual art classes to adults! All of this has given me a huge amount of expereince teaching people of all ages and backgrounds.
I am incredibly patient, curious and empathetic. My aim is to find a way of working with my students that suits their needs and abilities, and I tailor my approach accordingly.

I have over 10 years of experience working in education, and have worked with young kids all the way up to adult learners. I have expereince of working with people with different learning needs, including those with ADHD and Austism. I'm here to support you in reaching your English goals, and will approach our time together with empathy, kindness and patience.
