About Louise
I left France four years ago to live abroad in Australia, and my travels brought me to Scotland. Just like you, I had to learn a foreign language, and I had to use it in almost every interaction every day. I know how intimidating that is, and how frustrating it can be when he can’t quite keep up, or you make mistakes... But don’t you worry – I will help you get the confidence to master the French language!
As for my background, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication in France and then spent a year working in a French marketing company. I then came to Edinburgh to do a Masters in Marketing. Because I am familiar with business and communication skills on both sides of the Channel, I can help you prepare French documents for business purposes – I proofread CVs, cover letters, PowerPoint presentations.
I am just as comfortable working with kids learning French for school as I am working with professionals learning French for business, and first and foremost, I believe that learning a language should be fun!

My classes are mainly based on conversational practice, but depending on your needs, we can also cover writing and grammar. You might be prepping for a school exam, or improving your French for business reasons, or maybe you just want to learn some phrases for an upcoming holiday… let me help you raise your level!
I adapt my classes to suit all ages, and whether you’re a beginner or an improver, the teaching follows your interests and objectives. Adaptability also means listening to the student – if there are teaching methods you prefer or find more effective, we can incorporate these into the classes.
