About Emma
Bonjour! I am an 18 year old native French speaker currently studying at Newcastle University. I spent most of my life living and studying in France and have past experience in tutoring languages. I mainly brought support to students with upcoming exams such as GCSEs and A levels. I love sharing my knowledge and culture with others. My aim is to help you build confidence and achieve the best results depending on your needs. Writing, reading, speaking, listening... you can do it and I'm here to guide you! When we first meet we will discuss: - Your current level and what level you are aiming at - Understand what your needs are - What I can do to help you - Build trust and enhance a friendly relationship Above all, I wish to help you with your confidence. I adapt each lesson to the needs of my students. Maybe they need help with writing, reading, spelling or need support with an upcoming exam. Or maybe they didn't understand something in class? I am here to help build their confidence and help them with any difficulties they might face with the language by offering personalised activities to help turn weaknesses into strengths. My course is one hour long and will be carefully organised and adapted to your needs. In a first free session, I will ask what you would like to achieve and explain how we can work together to help you. Being a native French speaker allows me to share my knowledge on much more than what students learn in school. I can help you with specific terms or expressions that can make you sound more fluent in French.

Perfect! Emma is a brilliant tutor and I found that my French improved hugely whilst I was having lessons with her. She always takes a lot of care in preparing her lessons and tailored them to my individual needs. She also gave me small homework tasks (which I asked for!) and recommended French music/radio to listen to in my own time. These sorts of activities I find really help to keep my French learning ticking over between lessons. Emma is very approachable, friendly and patient and I would highly recommend her as a French tutor.
