About Sira
I am a native French speaker, born in Lebanon, where I attended a rather well-established French private School. This allowed me to get immersed in French culture and the French schooling system from day one. I consider French to be my native language as it is the one I most commonly speak with family and friends. I also love French TV, music and culture. I grew up on French cartoons and have a wealth of music/TV recommendations for you if that's your thing! Whether 80's, noughties or latest hits!
On top of that, for a couple of years as a teenager I lived in Qatar were I went to a school that encouraged us to study for the DELF. My French teacher at the time was a grader of DELF examinations and studying under her I picked up a wealth of examination techniques and strategies specific to DELF/DALF exams. I was able to get a 96 on my DELF B2, which was the highest grade obtained that year.

My lessons can be tailored to meet your needs. While French is my native language, I have experience learning and teaching languages and as such, am able to help you progress in ways not traditionally taught in classrooms. If your goal is to speak/understand French, we can focus on slang, culture, conversations etc. While if your goal is to study for a test such as the DELF/DALF we can work on test taking techniques and practice listening, reading/writing skills. There's something in there for everyone, but what's important is that it doesn't have to be a drag! No one is too young or too old to learn French! Whether you're 3 , 83 or anything in between, I'm sure we can figure out what makes language learning fun and engaging for you!
