About Louise
I am a native French speaker and a journalism student with an academic focus on writing, communication, and media analysis. I have a strong command of both spoken and written French, as I was born and raised in France the majority of my life.
I come from an international background and am used to working across languages and cultures, which has given me a clear and precise approach to communication. My studies in journalism have strengthened my attention to detail, organization, and clarity, as well as my ability to explain ideas accurately and thoughtfully.

My approach as a tutor is very practical and student-centered. As a native French speaker, I focus on helping students actually use French, not just memorize rules. I adapt my lessons to each person's goals, whether that’s improving conversation, strengthening reading and writing skills, or feeling more confident overall.
A typical lesson usually includes a mix of conversation, reading, and writing. We might start with a short conversation to warm up and work on pronunciation and fluency, then move to a text (article, short story, or topic that interests you) to build vocabulary and comprehension. Writing exercises are tailored to your level and needs, from short paragraphs to more structured texts, with clear explanations and feedback.
What sets me apart is my academic background in journalism and political science, which helps me explain language clearly and work with real, modern French. I also place a strong emphasis on culture, context, and nuance—things that are often missing in traditional language classes but are essential to sounding natural.
