About Solène
Bonjour ! I’m a native French speaker from Paris. Passionate about languages and cultures, I’ve been helping students of all ages for 5 years. I completed three years of Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Écoles (CPGE) in France, an intensive programme with a strong focus on French literature and advanced writing. I hold an English master's degree, and I’ve taught both English and French as a private tutor. I understand the challenges of learning a new language and love finding creative, simple ways to make French accessible and enjoyable. I’m patient, organised, and adaptable — whether you need structured grammar lessons, conversational practice, or targeted exam preparation, I’ll make sure our sessions are effective and tailored to your needs. Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for an exam, or looking to improve your conversation skills, we’ll focus on what matters most to you. Each lesson combines: Conversation practice to help you speak naturally and confidently. Grammar and vocabulary explained clearly, with examples and exercises. Listening and pronunciation practice to sound more authentic. If needed, exam preparation (GCSE, A-Level, DELF/DALF, TCF, etc.), with past papers and targeted strategies. Lessons are given online. I always adapt my teaching style to suit your level, interests, and learning speed, so that you feel comfortable and motivated at every step.

I took French classes when I was in high school, but it didn't really stick, and I never got the chance to practice further. I've started learning French again, and Solene has been a huge help in the process. She's great at simplifying concepts and breaking down the learning process into smaller steps, each one covering a core idea or rule in French. Solene is also very enthusiastic and cheerful, I definitely recommend her as a tutor!
