About Eikichi
I was born and raised in Kyushu, Japan, and have been living in California for 12 years. Being fully bilingual in Japanese and English gives me a unique advantage — I know exactly where English speakers struggle with Japanese, and I can explain things in a way that truly makes sense to you. I work in the food industry and interact with people daily, so my Japanese is practical and rooted in real life — not just textbook language. I’m also an anime fan myself, so if that’s what sparked your interest in Japanese, we’ll have plenty to talk about! My lessons are designed for adult beginners and intermediate learners who want to have real conversations, understand Japanese culture, or simply enjoy the language. I don’t offer business or professional Japanese, but if your goal is natural, everyday Japanese — let’s do this! I believe the best way to learn is in a relaxed, pressure-free environment. Hi! I’m a native Japanese speaker who has been living in California for 12 years. Because I’m fully bilingual in Japanese and English, I can explain grammar and vocabulary clearly — no confusion, no frustration. I offer fun, patient, and personalized lessons for adult beginners and intermediate learners. My lessons cover real conversational Japanese, hiragana, katakana, kanji basics, and everyday vocabulary you’ll actually use. As an anime fan myself, I totally understand why you want to learn Japanese — and I’ll make the journey enjoyable! Whether your goal is travel, connecting with Japanese culture, understanding your favorite anime, or simply starting from scratch, I’ll guide you at your own pace with a relaxed and encouraging teaching style. Lessons available on Tuesday and Sunday evenings after 7 PM (Pacific Time). Let’s start your Japanese journey together!
