About Shohei
I am a recent PhD graduate in biochemistry. I was born and raised in Japan and completed my bachelor's degree there. During my bachelor's degree, I had a lot of chances to interact with international students at my home university, where I helped them to improve their Japanese language. I love interacting with new people, and I always enjoy helping them improve their Japanese skills. I am friendly, open-minded and always trying to learn new things. I can be serious sometimes, but I am usually fun!

I am new to this platform, but whether you are interested in Japanese or already know some, I am here to help!
The lesson can vary depending on what you want to achieve with lessons (passing JLPTs, improving your conversational techniques etc.). It can be conversational or writing-focused, depending on your needs. I will also provide materials for the lessons when appropriate.
I have helped international students learn Japanese in the past. I can speak English, so I welcome anyone who wants to learn Japanese, regardless of your level. There is no age limit for my lessons. I am making sure that the lesson is engaging and fun!

Perfect! Shohei is a really great tutor. He personalises and adapts the lessons to your needs and learning pace rather than just following a fixed structure. He also brings useful resources to lessons which helps a lot with understanding and revision.
